GrobOur local Air Experience Flight operates from RAF Woodvale, in Formby, flying the Grob 115 Tutor. Flights will usually lasts between 20-30 minutes and during this time your pilot will encourage you to take control and perform some basic manoeuvres. After you've flown a few times you can find yourself at the controls performing aerobatics like loops and barrel rolls.

While the Tutor is the primary Air Experience aircraft, occasionally cadets will have the opportunity to fly some of the Royal Air Force's more advanced aircraft. Cadets from Merseyside Wing have taken to the skies in Wessex and Sea-King helicopters and even in dual seat jet aircraft such as the Hawk or Tornado!
