| Shooting | ||
Possibly the most disiciplined and regulated cadet activity there is, from the No 8 Mk1 rifle to the L98A1 GP, shooting is undoubtedly a thrill for all. |

|
||
To begin your shooting career you must first pass a Weapons Handling test, you must pass this test on both the No 8 and the L98A1, This is to make sure cadets are capable of handling the weapon without making any hair-raising mistakes. |

The first rifle cadets will use is the .22 Number 8 which is a half bore rifle usually shot at 25 meter ranges, It is a single shot, bolt action type rifle. |

| L98A1 Rifle | ||
The L98A1 general purpose cadet rifle is a single shot, magazine fed, full bore rifle that can hold up to 30 rounds in its magazine. This rifle is much more powerful than the Number 8 and has a range of about 500 meters. |

There is also a L81 cadet target rifle which is only fired on special and usually rare occasions, so if you get a go on one of there, count yourself lucky. |
