Sports at Woolton Squadron offers a wide range of activities, for all hobbies and interests. These sports include; Football, Athletics and Hockey at various different venues, this also means that you can participate in compitions with various other squadrons, wings and regions allowing you to gain either wing (left), region (center) or even corps (right) blues, as shown below. |

| Football | ||
Many squadrons, including Woolton, organize their own five-a-side tournaments. To be chosen for the Wing team at Junior or Senior level you must attend trials which are held annually. If you are good enough, you may be chosen to play for the Region and then perhaps the Corps. This event is unfortunately for male cadets only.” |

| Athletics | ||
The Wing Athletics is held annually around April. Squadrons enter individual cadets There are also separate male and female events. In addition to this there are cups to be won by the best male cadet at the event, all levels, and the best female cadet, all levels. There is also a trophy for the best squadron at the event. If you come first you will go on to represent the Wing at the regional competition, which follows a similar format. |

| Rugby | ||
Rugby is only played by male cadets within the Air Cadets, it is played to all levels (Seniors) and only to Wing at Junior level, although some Regions do arrange friendly games at Junior level. Games are normally played in late autumn to early winter, with the Corps games being in the early new year. Some Wings also play Rugby 7's. All games are played under the rules of the Rugby Football Union. |

| Netball | ||
The Netball competition is held annually around There is a trophy and medals to be won. If you play well you may be selected for the Wing team and then perhaps Region or Corps. This event is for female cadets only. |

| Cross-Country | ||
The wing cross-country competition is held annually and is usually held in November. Again, there are separate male and female events with three age groups for the males and two for the females. Those competing must run a three mile course over rough terrain. There are medals for those who come first, second and third. The first four in each category form the wing team and can be chosen for region and corps. |

| Hockey | ||
Trials are held for the Junior and Senior team who go on to the regional Team members may be chosen for Regional and corps teams. This event is for female cadets only. |
||
| Swimming | ||
Swimming is the Corps’ most Successful event, with the Air Cadets winning the last 29 annual tri-service meetings. This sport is normally played in the late autumn time of the year. Competitors can compete at all levels of this sport. The following events are participated in:- Freestyle
